The Classical
Roadshow
What We Do
Classical Roadshow believes singing should be central to every child's education. Not only can singing itself improve self-esteem and wellbeing, spark creativity and intellectual growth but it can also be a fantastic vehicle for children to learn about other subjects too.
Classical Roadshow produces shows for primary school children, all linked to the KS2 curriculum. Songs are learnt at school then performed with hundreds of other children at a famous London concert hall, alongside a top professional orchestra, conductor and soloists.
Our Recent Show
Our most recent show was a performance of Battle of Britain - The Turning Point on 3 March 2024. 1400 children raised the roof of Cadogan Hall, singing our fantastic songs and following narrators Charles (a newly trained spitfire pilot) and his sister Mary (a secret radar operator) as they navigated the events of 1940.
The show was led by conductor Ben Pope with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring returning soloists Jonathan Eio and Annabelle Brown.
Battle of Britain - The Turning Point was composed for Classical Roadshow by Richard Brown, aimed at teaching KS2 about WWII. Resources were sent to schools so they could learn the catchy songs (worked into the Music, History and English curriculum), then many of the children dressed up and sang alongside hundreds of other children on show day. Keep an eye out on our website for out next show.
